Meet HR Coordinator, Emma. She tells us about her journey so far and why she’s loving life as a Globalite.
Life at Global Personals is very different to that at my previous role. Previously I worked in HR for a small company that employed 20 people and serviced air conditioners and generators. So when I saw the vacancy for a HR Coordinator at Global Personals, I got very excited about the possibility of working here!
I loved that this job was in a very different industry, had a young culture and was still growing. It seemed like a match made in heaven for me. After my interviews, I was so pleased to find out that I had got the job! I was excited, nervous and anxious all at the same time with my first day in a new company approaching…
Walking into the massive open plan glass fronted office on my first day was a bit daunting, but I was soon put at ease by my manager, Eva, Head of Human Resources. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and quick to have a chat with me, which really helped me feel comfortable in my new surroundings at the Windsor HQ.
I’ve been here for four months now and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made… I only wish I’d made it sooner! My role as HR Coordinator is both very busy and rewarding, as I look after our staff, recruitment and new employee administration.
When I speak to potential new employees, I can honestly say that Global Personals has a great working atmosphere here, that staff are treated very well and that we receive great benefits. Not to mention, my favourite part… Our ‘Fat Friday’ breakfast.
The only downside to my new job, and our location in the heart of Windsor, is that I now have a lunch break shopping habit! That aside, it’s been a great journey so far and I can’t wait to see what’s next in store for me at Global Personals.
If you like the sound of life at Global Personals and are interested in joining us, head to our current vacancies.
