Last week Tech City UK released Tech Nation; a new report providing a comprehensive analysis of the businesses powering the UK’s digital economy. We’re delighted that Global Personals was ranked in a list of the top 100 tech businesses in Berkshire, joining tech giants Amazon and Microsoft.
The UK’s strongest digital economies were profiled in the report and notable entries included Reading (inc. Berkshire), where Global Personals HQ has been based since 2003. Unsurprisingly, inner London is still regarded as Europe’s digital capital, with a high density of technology businesses delivering a strong economic output.
The report also identified that e-commerce is still a thriving sector, with over 71% e-commerce organisations recording strong growth in 2014. What’s more UK consumers spent more than £54 billion online in the last year. With a strong commitment to innovation and a foot firmly in the UK’s thriving tech hubs and a fast-growing industry such as e-commerce, Global Personals is delighted to have been ranked among some of the most influential tech businesses in the world in the Tech Nation report.
